I had a recent knitting lesson from my sweet Aunt which, by the way, she was more than willing to give. After an hour spent learning ‘the ropes,’ I took off on my own knitting project while we chatted away the afternoon.
My mind became a dictionary of knitting terms as I learned how to cast-on.
And make knit stitches. And purl stitches. And stockinette stitches.
And on top of that, I learned how to gauge and how to cast-off. Just the basics really.
But, most importantly, I learned how soft and pretty her hands are.
Aren’t these hands soft and pretty?
I want to have hands like that when I grow up.
So with all this great knowledge, I knit my own wonderful creation.
I’m a knitting genius.
