The end of one thing always leads to the beginning of something new, and I’m a sucker for new things. I love spontaneity, I crave change. My smile widens at the thought of fresh ideas, and I’m learning to finish with the same style and grace that I start. That part, it seems, isn’t so easy.
As one large round of work wrapped up, my schedule was spinning in circles around itself, and sleep didn’t find it’s way into that schedule as well as it should have. And so today marks the beginning of something new… a day of refueling. Red eyes and runny noses have exiled us into the big bed, surrounded by a mountain of white down, piles of books and each other’s heads of crazed spun sugar. I may not have finished yesterday with the pep that I began the long stretch of busy work, wiping a raw nose with more energy than I put into fake smiling my way to a real smile. But today is that fresh slate to refuel with my little ones, and there’s no fake smiling necessary to get to the real one. A fresh coat of white snow is fluttering it’s way down around the house, and I’m perfectly content to spend my time in the warm white fluff of my blankets, surrounded by my little ones.

Happy Refueling! I am doing the same today. Only my refueling consists of laundry (In my awesome new washer and dyer lol) and shopping for Jude’s birthday party.
Glad you get some time to snuggle your beautiful babies and relax 🙂
