No, I haven’t had this baby yet. And no, I’m not in labor yet. Although, if you do see me you could just ask if I’ve had the baby yet and then I would get to say something fun like, “Yes, I have actually, he’s sleeping in the car.”
The original due date was last Friday, and we all thought I would be pushing this baby out earlier than that. About mid-way through the pregnancy, my due date was changed to a week later based on the baby’s size, although now, his size is just fine and I’d prefer him to not get much larger before I have to fit him through a very small part of my body.
Right now I don’t know if it’s harder being in limbo between the two due dates, knowing I’ve already surpassed one, or knowing that each day he’s getting bigger and, ahem, I get to push him out.
I’m feeling comfortable and want him fully developing into a healthy, thriving baby and I really mean that.
And then Aliyah walks up to my belly and says something like, “Brayden, please just come out today!”
And then I say, “Listen to your sister.”

This is adorable! I am checking daily to see if he’s decided to come yet!!!! Hang in there! I don’t know how you’re being so patient!! I am the world’s most impatient person and I’d be going nuts right now!! Although I guess there’s not really a whole lot you can do!! The little guy is just too darn comfy in his little mommy cacoon!!

Precious picture!
Loved this post, too.
Not that I can relate to the pushing part, but the frustrations and anxiety about being in “limbo,” I totally get that!
Praying everything will move quickly and safely for you and Bray. God speed, Little Boy!
Hugs,
Britt

Bless you….I know that they can’t predict it to the day but I always felt that I was given that day, I am tired, and so ready that I EXPECT the baby to come on the date they give! Hang in there.

With my first baby I went 17 days overdue. What a nightmare. I don’t know why they didn’t just induce me. They don’t let you go that long anymore thank goodness. That was 16 years ago (yesterday!)
Best wishes!!!!

I’m right there with ya. “big baby? small body part?” NOT FEELING IT.
Baby #3 for me has been slow to get started on the “belly growth” part of the deal but all of a sudden I’m huge. And baby is measuring a week ahead of my very precise calculations.
I hope that Brayden makes his appearance very soon. We’re all anticipating!! 🙂

I’m sure you get a bit tired of comments like, “Are you STILL pregnant?!” and “Aren’t you due yet?” to which I would answer, “No I’m not still pregnant. I’m just fat” or something of that sort 😉
I hope baby Brayden listens to his sister and comes soon! I love your blocks better than mine. I did a photo shoot with blocks and it turned out super cute, but your blocks are different.

Fresh Mommy says
Hi Rachel! Yes… he’s now two years old!! It was fun to come back today and see this post and read those thoughts 🙂 Those are Uncle Goose blocks, handmade in the USA! And I believe they’re made in MI where I’m from. I found them on Amazon as well: http://www.amazon.com/Uncle-Goose-Wooden-ABC-Blocks/dp/B00000J50F/ref=pd_cp_ba_0
