So we recently enrolled our, not so baby anymore, Baby Blue in swim lessons. It went about as well as was expected, she is loving them.
Already being the little fish that she is, she couldn’t be happier to be in the water, even if someone is telling her what to do.
And it wouldn’t be like her to not make friends with the girl that likes to splash. These two were having fun throwing water droplets our way.
So, next time, if she falls in our pool… Yes, I said next time, because she has already done it more than once. Although she is very careful around our pool and we are always out with her, just the frequency with which we are outside in the summer invites falling in a time or two.
So, next time, if she falls in our pool, she should be able to get herself to the side.

On my daughter’s first swim lesson, the teacher thought it would be a good idea to dunk her to help her get over her fear of getting her hair wet. Yeah, she wailed the next time we went.
I agree that swim lessons for kiddos is just a must. My children are beginning their classes again next week. My daughter is -thrilled- to no end.

These pics are great!
My baby started swimming lessons last Saturday too! 🙂 And I even brought the camera… But since it’s a Mommy and Me class, I ended up deciding against bringing it in, out of fear that it would somehow get wet while I was splashing around with her… But I might have to bring it in next time, I’d love to have some action shots like these of her having fun!

Such a good moma to make sure no matter how careful you are that she is a little more prepared for it herself. Never can be to careful and it’s nice that she gets to go and have fun and learn all at the same time….that and some times having someone else do it for you makes it easier.

excellent! my 3 yr old has been in swim lessons for over a year and she LOVES it. She practically swims by herself now, jumps in and goes underwater, it’s amazing. When you get them into it at such a young age, they become real naturals!

She sure does look like she loves it. Sugar is not a fan of water in her face. as a baby I poured it over her head all the time, and then one day…she started hating it. sigh…so swim lessons are fun…but not so productive.
Jenny in Utah says
Oh heavens, those are ALL so adorable … I love the first one with her lip sticking out … and then all the splashing … lessons should be a ton of fun for you all!

That is so awesome and a relief that she will be able to get to the side. I feel that anytime Noah does not have on his vest. Time for him to learn as well. 🙂

that first shot ought to earn you some cash reward–it’s stellar!

I wish my boy were more like her….less fearful of the water. He doesn’t think he’s fearful, but he is. And it would help if we had a pool in the backyard. 😉
