“Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end.”
~Seneca
Baby boy was still finding his way along the path of Getting Back to Normal this New Year’s Eve, though he was this close to reaching that end. So, Chris and I still spent the earlier part of the evening fabulously dressed on our last and final date of twenty ten, but cut the rest of our previous plans short to spend the latter of the evening at home ringing in the new year with our sweet little rockstars and some close friends in the quiet of our home. In our pajamas.
And it was the best place to be, to bring in another new beginning. Another go-round after the last has ended and we get the chance to start again, maybe this time learning a bit more, dreaming a bit bigger, loving a bit harder.
To our surprise, Brayden stayed up for the countdown and sipped his first taste of bubbly (alcohol free of course). He didn’t like it.
But my sweet girl, we lost her about a half hour too soon, and so we left our kisses and “Happy New Years” on her resting, rosy cheek.
Cheers to a fresh new beginning in the best place of all.
