Hi guys! I’ve been having a great time with #PROJECTdecor and taking advantage of each spare minute I have, which sometimes seem to be few and far between, to update every space in our home. This time, it was our outside area. I’ve been wanting to add some softness to the outdoors with sheer curtains and was excited when I found sets of 2 for $4.99!
As you can see, the before is a little bare.
This project was so simple, it doesn’t even really need instructions, but I’ll share anyway! Supplies needed: String, curtain sheers and some self-stick hooks or screws. 1) Attach the hooks (or screws) across the top of the area where the curtains will hang. 2) Thread string through the curtains. 3) Tie the string onto the hooks (or screws). We started with two curtains at a time and would tie the string off onto the hooks, then we’d just repeat with the next two curtains until finished. 4) Fluff and enjoy!
For now, we finished off the area by adding a rug to the sitting area that was rolled up in our garage and a couple of pillows and accessories from the house. There is always more we could do, but for right now, I think this $20 project made a huge difference!
Here are some of YOUR projects that we’ve been loving over on Instagram. It’s so much fun visiting the #PROJECTdecor thread, making new friends and seeing what other’s are working on to spruce up their spaces this month.
Thanks for sharing your spaces with us and hashtagging your photos with #PROJECTdecor. Everyone who shares and hashtags on Instagram is entered to win the #PROJECTdecor grand prize of the $600 vacuum cleaner system from Oreck, which will randomly be chosen at the end of the month, so the more you share, the more chance you have to win!

I think a three-up design like this would be beautiful in one large frame. From left to right: Gourds, A Leaf Grows, Pumpking.

Hi Tab, I love the curtains! just enough to add a little ambiance. I was thinking,in the future,if you want to play with some different colored sheers at different times or for special occasions,It would be easy to change it up if you wanted to. My midstream project right now is my work station in my living room. almost to the 1/2 way mark. re-locating some of it,sorting and organizing. I have really been inspired to start targeting the “dark corners” of the house. I am enjoying all the ideas from this project of yours. Keep it up everyone 🙂
