I hesitate to call this a DIY, but it’s about as close as I get to doing it myself!
This is the how I’ve been displaying all the beautiful holiday cards we receive each year around Christmas for the last couple years. It’s really easy, quick, and inexpensive!
Supplies:
Ribbon
Mini Clothespins
Duct Tape
Any color ribbon works, but it works best if it is a minimum of 1.5 inches to accommodate the clothespins. I found the mini clothespins at Joann’s, but I’m sure any craft store would have them. Finally, the Duct Tape is a key player. I know it’s supposed to be a man’s tool, but it’s just so useful! I recommend it because you don’t see it anyway and it comes off the cabinets cleanly.
Simply measure and cut your ribbon about 6 inches longer than your cabinets. After that just center and drape it over the open cabinet door and Duct Tape the top. Then pull the bottom of the ribbon around the bottom of the cabinet and tape it tightly. Add your clothespins and cards as they come in. Ta-Da!
It’s easy and it looks great! I love showing off the amazing cards our friends and family send us, it really adds to the Christmas spirit.
