Although this time, it didn’t seem as large and erie as it had before… now that we were in a 3000lb lump of metal molded around us.
Sporting our shoes suitable for hiking, along with hats and gloves to fight of the chill in the air, we were on our way… on foot.
We knew we’d been there for awhile now, although time just seemed to pass so easily, so quickly did it slip through our intertwined fingers. It was time to find our way back out of the woods.

this post makes me desperately miss my home in the boonies. there are no forests to speak of in my current location, and it’s just sad. meanwhile, good call checking for vermin and insects before crawling into hollow trees… 🙂

What a great trip! I wish I could get my hubby to go to SF with me, he is not a city boy… But, that’s what’s so cool about it, is that there are places like this around. So, I just go with my girlfriend and shop shop shop instead!

Delightful, indeed! Witnessing the Muir Woods in the fog gives it such a magical feel. What a great opportunity for exploration! Animals love the cold and come out of the woodwork.
My favorite pictures are the ones that first show you in your wonderfully ratty jeans (perfect for hiking) followed by your beautifully manicure nails with the gorgeous ring.
Practical yet beautiful. Nice :).

Okay…you totally have to email me and tell me about the photo taking in your family. who does what? do you each have a camera? tell me more? I love that you are in so many photos. I am so rarely in the photos, and I know my daughter will wish it was different.

What a lovely day! And what lovely photos to remember it by. I love to hike and walk in the woods. I always feel so at peace there. But it feels like it’s been ages since we last did. So your beautiful journal was like a peaceful balm to me, today. Just what I needed to fill a spot I didn’t know was sitting empty. Thank you.
