On my son’s first birthday, I couldn’t get him to even *touch* his cake. I had to take his hands and shove them in the cake myself. He then proceeded to hold his hands up and cry, as if to say, “OMG. GET IT OFF! GET IT OFF! IT BURNS!!!”
Sigh. He’s still the same way. It’s a blessing AND a curse, all rolled into one!
