Yesterday I woke up in a funk, nothing crazy or horribly askew, just a bit off. I’m sure waking up to a stack of projects and deadlines after a couple days of leaving it behind and partying my way through Orlando’s Nickalodeon hotel and Sea World with my kids didn’t have anything to do with it. That or the still stuffed up head (what is going on with that?!), nose that wants to bleed from all the pressure and ears that can’t decide if they want to open and let me hear or not.
I’m a pretty independent person, and as a mom, I’ve learned to suck up what I have to because life doesn’t stop for sickness. But the last couple of days? I’ve hunkered down into my cave, crossing off projects as their completed (slower than my normal pace, but completed nonetheless!), peeking my head out for air when needed, and reverted to sometimes sulking for pity from my husband. Who, by the way, has been amazing and has had to feed me, literally. Because my body gave in and couldn’t move from it’s hibernation when the roar from my stomach could be heard from across the universe.
By the way, I’m not dramatic at all. Have I mentioned that before?
And my kids have been pretty amazing too, happily hiding in their own cave of our dining room table, hunkered down with their own breakfast of random bags of dry cereal.
Mother of the year here, folks. Mother of the year.

They look no worse for the wear 😉 And I’ve got the same, miserable lingering thing. Finally went to the Dr., so I’m starting to do a few things…but geesh…it’s a tough one to shake! I’ll rest up if you will!

Aww…sorry mama. Being sick is rough when it lingers. Your family is amazing and you are so blessed to have children that don’t jump on your head and scream when you need to rest and a husband that lets you. Sea World is awesome. I can’t wait to share that experience with the boys. Feel better soon!
