Usually Fab Finds are on Fridays, and I’m a bit behind… but I totally think this giveaway makes up for it!
And guess what… it’s spring!
Warm breezes (finally) take the last of winter away from our homes and yards. The spring rain wakes the earth to bring new life. And our desks, well lets face it, at least mine can sometimes be downright messy.
I’m sure you’ve already felt the need to clean and purge. Spring just has a way of doing that. The longer days give a little boost of energy, and spring cleaning is a good way to enter the spirited new season.
My desk doubles as a playroom workstation, so having my ‘stuff’ left out can be a bit dangerous. OMG, when it comes to office organization my weakness is TOTAL lack of organization. Despite that every organizing expert says you should read your mail/documents as soon as you get it and then decide RIGHT THEN what to do with it, I read my stuff, admire it, put it in a pretty pile for decisions later and then… it sits. And grows. And becomes seemingly insurmountable. And before I know it, I’m swimming in papers I don’t want to deal with.
Help. Me.

Yes, like you, I love office supplies. Every September I just love looking at all the back-to-school stuff and sneak in a whiff of new crayons. Heaven!!
I’m really organized, ok anal! But I love new and PRETTY ways to make things even better. I really have to have things symetrical, lined up, and neat. Clutter actually gives me a headache. And sometimes you just have “stuff” that you don’t have time to deal with and having a cute little tote to dump it into till you DO have time, just makes alot of sense. And it’s pretty!

I’m ocd about my office space. I’m totally addicted to my white board and new dry erase markers. I’m in love with my giant paper clips, post it notes and giant thumb tacks. Hmmm… my weakness when it comes to office organization – well first I have to admit that I’m a total pen hoarder/buyer/collector. Pens pens pens EVERYWHERE! And as one can imagine, they aren’t usually all stowed away in a set place. I also stack my bills right by the computer so I remember to pay them, so a file would be excellent!

I believe obsessed would be the understatement of the year!! In our old house I had the office HOOKED UP. ((sigh)) Then we moved. So far my awesomelycool office is so not awesomelycool organized.

I think my biggest weakness in office organization is that I don’t actually have an office. We live in a very small house (two adults, two children and a lab in 1100 sq. feet). So all of my paperwork gets put in different places and then I can’t find it when I need it. I do have a closet that I have a big drawer thingie in which helps, but it’s still very much a mess!

I could totally use some office organization stuff! I love pretty peppy bright things that will also serve a purpose… like post-its, desk calendar, trays, etc. My desk is a sea of pink post-its right now. My weakness: Sharpies and file folders. I love having a file for everything. There might be one slip of paper in a file but at least I know what’s in there. I love sharpies because I can write on all the files and make notes.

I love office supplies! My weakness is having trendy patterned supplies (sort of like that green and white paper stuck to that folder… hard to tell exactly what that is) that all match each other. Pencils, paper, stickies, push pins, magnets, pencil cup, paper, trays, folders… you name it. All in matching/coordinating patterns.

I’m not sure if this counts as office weakness, but making lists is my weakness! I love to make them. I buy a little notebook to keep track of everything, start a million little lists for all sorts of things, and then accomplish one to two things on the list before I decide to start all over with a new list. I think it’s something about a good pen and a cute notebook!
