Do you remember this post?
I am THAT mom, the cloth diapering (unless I’m out of town), breastfeeding, organic eating (except for when we decide to eat fast food), babywearing mom. And I love it. I wish I had started babywearing with my firstborn, my daughter Aliyah. I held her so much that ‘wearing’ her should have been the natural progression. But I just never did. This time around, I planned on it and ordered a sling long before our baby boy made his entrance into our lives.
I was so excited when his sling arrived from Hotslings new AP Collection.
It’s an easy sling to just slip right on and slide baby into… and adjustable so it’ll fit pretty much anyone wanting to carry him except maybe Stone Cold Steve Austin.
Can you tell I’ve been watching Celebrity Apprentice?
I’m sorry.
Of course, babywearing needs to be done carefully. But if you do it right, it’s such a peaceful bonding experience between you and baby. I don’t keep Brayden in his slings too much, but when he seems to be a bit fussy, I can slide him right in and go about my day. He usually is so comfy and cozy, he falls right to sleep.
His slings definitely came in handy on our recent trip to New York. I walked everywhere with him attached to me. It was just as cozy for me as it was for him, I’m sure.

Sling shown here is the Hotslings Reversible Leaves Noir
I’m hooked.
Now if I could only find someone to carry me when I’m fussy and need a nap.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE my sling….it was my little “papoose” for my 10 month old. And I am still using it now, she sits up so beautifully and when we I am holding her for an extended period of time, this gives my arms and back a break! Great decision! You won’t regret it!

Aw! I wish I had had a sling when Brady was a pup. Instead I had the snugli, which was so awkward.
Enjoy!

it’s good to be a babywearing hippy. 🙂 I miss it.
I love the mai tai type slings as well. 🙂

Wearing those babes is perfect! I loved having a moby wrap. It rocked. They are also the least expensive of the wrap choices out there. It was super comfortable and very easy. It also distributed the baby weight better then the slings did especially as they got older.

I’m jealous that your sling has worked so well for you – I tried to get Henry into the one I got but either I bought it too small or he was too big. 🙂 I do wear him sometimes in my mei tei carrier though and he seems to really like that one!
