The short days of winter are slowly being stretched by the sun. The snow that once used to fall lightly becomes raindrops dancing on our roofs, as the warmth gently wares away the blanket of white that we’ve become accustomed to. Some days, we are greeted by what seems to be the early days of Spring, warmth and sunshine. On those days we celebrate with open windows, the wind sweeping the stale of winter out from our strong fortresses, and clothes set out to dry in the light of day. But, Winter is a jealous mistress. She doesn’t want to give up her time with us so easily. Slowly and imminently, changes are coming. With each surprise of a glowing day, we are reminded of what’s ahead, and the ice and snow continue to fade away to let the earth show brilliantly through.
