I’m sitting here in my bed on a sunny, breezy afternoon, which happens to be perfect weather for a picnic outdoors on a rendezvous to the park or preparing for a little birthday party coming up this weekend for twenty-five kids. Instead, I’m resting. My little snuggle bug and I are holed up in the bedroom, exchanging fist-sized grins and performing toned-down versions of “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes” while lying here.
I could tell you about my morning and my trip to the doctor’s office, who upon entering the sterile little room I was napping in while waiting let out a very sympathetic, “Oh honey.” Which in itself should give you a very good indication of how I was feeling. My main prescription being bedrest for the next couple of days.
I could talk about how our holiday plans of sunnin’ and swimmin’ rolled on out just as quickly as Monday morning’s storm clouds rolled in, the gray skies hugging us ever so gently with a veil of black billows and caressing us with rain droplets. So no sunshiney boating with friends and bar-b-que after with family our holiday was, but wear our pajamas all day, eat yummy comfort food and settle into a slow rhythm stretched out on the couch with littles it became… and it was grand.
And I could wax on about when my girl asks to give her baby a real soap and water bath in her room, what fun would there be in saying no? The only obvious answer is yes, as long as my pajama’d bottom can tag along with the camera.
But right now, as for this little guy, he couldn’t be more delighted to have mama all to himself in our pillowed haven.
And his delight makes me delighted.
Though we may be a sleepy, snotty, hot mess… we’re together. And I’d take together and delighted anyday.

You were feeling run down a few weeks ago. You’re gonna have to slow down and sleep more 🙂 I’m just not sure when you’re gonna pencil that in..lol

Pajama days at home are fun. Brayden is adorable and it looks like aliyah enjoyed giving her baby a bath for sure.
